A skier wants to build a rope tow to pull herself up a ski hill that is inclined at 15 with the horizontal. Calculate the tension needed in the rope to give the skier's 54kg body a 1.2 m/s^2 acceleration.

Choose from the options below:( to get you thinking)

A 202 N

B 222 N

C 242 N

D 262 N

I tried solving but my answer is so different from the choices above. I wanna know how to solve it.

who says cylinder's choices are correct?

How did you attempt to solve the problem?

assuming no friction, the downward acceration due to gravity along the slope is g*sin15.

tension=mmass(acceleration+g*sin15)=
= 54(9.8*sin15+1.2)

54(9.8*sin15+1.2) will show you the option it is

and one of the options is right so do that working out to find out which one

Thanks I already figured out how to solve it.
