A sculpture needs to lift a piece of marble.it is a cuboid with dimensions 1m by 0.6m and 0.3m.marble has a density of 2.7. work out the mass.

Density = Mass/Volume

=> Density = 2.7*10^3kg/m^3
=> Volume = l*b*h = 1*0.6*0.3 = 0.18m^3

Mass = Density*Volume
= 2.7*0.18*10^3
= 486kg

I had to do it for maths homework and it really helped me answer the other questions

I need help

well I had so much experience and guess whats my answer:

Dont panic its just gcscees not important in life so screw school.
you only need the basics to do really well and get a degree in work.
THANKS HOPE THIS HELP :)

Thanks for answering arora

To work out the mass of the marble, we need to use the formula:

mass = density * volume

First, let's calculate the volume of the marble. The volume of a cuboid is given by the formula:

volume = length * width * height

Given that the dimensions of the cuboid are 1m by 0.6m and 0.3m, we can substitute the values into the formula:

volume = 1m * 0.6m * 0.3m

Simplifying, we get:

volume = 0.18 cubic meters

Now, we can calculate the mass using the density and volume:

mass = 2.7 * 0.18

Simplifying further, we get:

mass = 0.486 kg

Therefore, the mass of the marble is 0.486 kg.
