Why do you think there is a lack of Asian American professors? What are some of the types of problems that Asian Americans are experiencing?
I didn't know there was a lack of Asian-American professors. According to this site, Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders make up about 5% of the U.S. population. Can you show statistics that indicate less than 5% of professors are Asian-American?
The main difficulties experienced by all immigrants with another first language is difficulty in communications. Once they become fluent in English or are second generation, I know of no problems that Asian-Americans experience because of their ethnicity.
