Hey, I'm wondering how I should help other people on this site without getting banished, expeled, or otherwise in any kind of trouble. I really want to help, and get help, but I see so many people get banned and kicked out of their schools!

You are welcome to help other students. Please help them find answers, but do not tell them answers.

Please post only when you have something to say, but do not post what someone else has already posted.
Please be sure your answers are right and are not just guesses.
Please use the same name (and not Anonymous) in your posts.

I know nothing about kids being thrown out of school. People are banned from Jiskha for cheating, giving other students the answers. It is NOT being helpful to just give others the answers to quiz, test, and review questions. It does not help anyone learn to just "get the answer" so they can pass, and still know nothing about the topic being taught. Students are also banned for asking to be given the answers so that they don't have to study or learn themselves.

Thank you so very much!!!! Reed, if you see posts by Ms. Sue, Teacher, Teacher 2 , ect. there will be chats where students are threatend by their teachers that they are breaing the honor code by using this site. One result of breaking the honor code is getting kicked out.

Thank you all for clearing this up! I posted a question asking for specific answers and now I feel bad. Hopefully I won't be banned. It was on an assessment that didn't require a grade, so it wasn't like I was cheating on a test or anything. Thanks for being amazing, Ms. Sue!
