Why are we not allowed to post links? Everytime I try it doesn't work, but I always see tutors posting links

We get enough profanity, insults, and racist remarks. We'd get even worse stuff if everyone could post links. As it is, only a handful of responsible adult tutors are allowed to post links here.

You are welcome to recommend a website or an article or a book that you have found helpful or informative, just not the link. Keep in mind, too, that adult tutors try to be impartial and avoid links that lead to biased material. A student or a parent might not be quite so mindful about being unbiased.

just do something like this:

add "h" at the beginning

The reason why you may not be able to post links could vary depending on the platform or website you are using. Many websites have implemented restrictions on posting links to prevent spamming, malicious activities, or to maintain the quality of the content. These restrictions can be in the form of limitations for new accounts, requirements for a certain level of reputation or user privileges.

If you are unable to post links, here are some possible reasons and solutions:

1. New account restrictions: Some websites restrict the capabilities of newly created accounts, including the ability to post links. This is often done to prevent spammers from creating accounts solely for the purpose of sharing links. In this case, you'll need to gain a certain level of reputation, complete certain tasks, or wait for a specified period of time before you can post links.

2. User privileges: Certain websites or forums grant different privileges or permissions to different types of users. Higher-level users such as moderators or trusted members may have more privileges, including the ability to post links. If you're not able to post links, it could be because you have not reached the required user level or have not been granted the necessary privileges. You can try engaging with the community, contributing valuable content, and following the guidelines to increase your reputation and gain access to link posting.

3. URL filtering or moderation: To prevent spam or inappropriate content, some platforms employ URL filtering or moderation systems. These systems automatically or manually review the links submitted and determine whether they are allowed to be posted. If you find that your links are not working, they could be triggering the URL filtering system. Double-check the website's terms and guidelines to ensure your content complies with their policies.

4. Technical issues: Occasionally, technical issues on a website might prevent the posting of links for all users. This could be due to server problems, bugs, or updates being implemented by the website. In such cases, it is best to contact the website's support team for assistance.

If you notice that tutors are able to post links while you cannot, it might be because they have met the necessary requirements, gained sufficient reputation, or have user privileges that allow them to do so.
