B

I totally disagree with this question and the possible answers.

My husband was an introvert, but was the author of nine published books. He met his goals by himself. They were not social goals.

My goals of how to teach my students was accomplished on my own.

The answer to the question is: few worthwhile goals can be attained without the cooperation of many people.

To understand why the process of attaining goals is a social event, we can break down the statement and analyze it further:

1. Goal attainment requires cooperation: Many goals, especially significant or complex ones, often require the involvement and cooperation of multiple individuals or parties. This is because different people possess different skills, resources, or expertise that can contribute to the successful achievement of a goal. Collaborating and working together towards a common objective increases the likelihood of success.

2. Sociality adds value to goal attainment: Achieving a goal, especially one that is considered meaningful or rewarding, becomes more meaningful when it is shared with others. Social interactions, such as receiving support, encouragement, or feedback from others, can enhance the sense of accomplishment and make the entire process more enjoyable. Celebrating with others and sharing the joy of accomplishing a goal can also create a sense of unity and connection within a community or social group.

3. Attaining a goal is a surprise worthy of celebration by all: While the surprise element may not apply to all goals, achieving a goal can often be an event worth celebrating with others. Setting goals and working towards them requires dedication, effort, and perseverance. When a goal is successfully achieved, it represents a milestone or accomplishment that deserves recognition and celebration. Involving others in the celebration not only acknowledges the support or contribution they have provided but also allows for collective joy and shared experiences.

Overall, the social aspect of goal attainment stems from the collaborative nature of achieving goals, the added value of social interactions, and the celebration of accomplishments with others.
