Find the perimeter of a rectangular area with a length of 13 inches and

a width of 7 inches.
Calculation With Distribution
(Show all steps.)

plase help me i dont know how to do this with distribution

P = 2L + 2W

P = 2(W + L)

You're welcome.

i dont understand is one with distribution and one without?

oh wait i think i get it thanks ms sue!

Hey I don't understand pls help

i am guessing its perimeter=2lenth+2width.so you put p=2L+2W and for without distribute you do p=2(L+W)

I am just guessing that's what they are trying to say idk something like that

or you can do it 7+13+7+13=40 and without distribution it would be 2(13+7)=40

Draw a rectangle.. write 13 on the two longer sides of the rectangle then write 7 on the other two shorter ones. Then add them all up and there you go your answer!

Our equation would be 13 + 13 + 7 + 7 = 40 inches

To find the perimeter of a rectangular area, you need to add up all the sides.

Step 1: Identify the sides of the rectangle.
In this case, the rectangle has a length of 13 inches and a width of 7 inches. So, we have two sides of length 13 inches and two sides of length 7 inches.

Step 2: Calculate the perimeter using distribution.
To find the perimeter, we need to add up all the sides of the rectangle using distribution.

Perimeter = 2(length) + 2(width)

Using distribution, we can rewrite this equation as:
Perimeter = 2 * 13 inches + 2 * 7 inches

Step 3: Simplify the equation.
Now we can simply calculate the values:
Perimeter = 26 inches + 14 inches

Step 4: Add the values to get the final answer.
Perimeter = 40 inches

So, the perimeter of the rectangular area with a length of 13 inches and a width of 7 inches is 40 inches.
