Ms. Sue is it the 9.9%

Where did you get 9.9%? It varies from year to year, somewhat. The figures in the "visitbritain" page are from 2013. I think you can safely say between seven and ten percent and growing.

That number is for the whole United Kingdom, not just England. I couldn't find the figures for only England.

I got it from Ms. Sue's link

ok thank you Ms. Sue I will ask my teacher if that's ok.

You're welcome.

To find out what percentage of England's income is generated from tourism, you could follow these steps:

Step 1: Obtain the total income of England.
The total income of a country can be measured by its Gross Domestic Product (GDP). GDP represents the total monetary value of all goods and services produced within a specific time period. You can find this information from various sources such as national statistical agencies, government reports, or international organizations like the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Step 2: Calculate the total contribution of tourism to England's GDP.
The contribution of tourism to GDP can be measured by the Tourism Satellite Account (TSA). This account provides data on the direct and indirect economic impacts of tourism. Again, you can find this information from national statistical agencies or tourism-specific organizations.

Step 3: Determine the percentage.
Divide the total contribution of tourism to England's GDP by the total income of England (GDP) and multiply by 100 to convert it into a percentage.

For example, if the total contribution of tourism to England's GDP is £50 billion and the total income of England (GDP) is £1 trillion, you would calculate:
(£50 billion / £1 trillion) * 100 = 5%

Therefore, in this hypothetical example, tourism contributes 5% to England's income. However, please note that actual figures may vary, and you should consult reliable sources to obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information.
