Hayley, I have read a number of posts of yours, and noticed two things.

a. you worry about grades far too much, after all, we have an entire life ahead of us. Perfection is not on the cards for most of us.
b. you have an issue in reading comprehension, in my opinion, getting the main idea, and inference reading skills. I think this site my help you develope in that, at least try it please. http://mrnussbaum.com/readingcomp/ameliacomp/
go to the sixth grade set of reading skills, and give it a whirl for a few days. I think it will be of some lasting value for you.

Bob Pursley

While I think it is up to parents to tell a kid that they worry about grades to much and to let the child decide how they want to take that, I. worry about my grades a lot, and all it has gotten be is closer to a better future career and to be put on the A honor roll. Still, even I will admit, if you obsess like I do, you may loose out on part of your kid life. So, take it from me, care about your grades. A lot. But not too much that you stop being a kid and doing other things that kids do, like play with friends, or go to the park. I with someone told me that when I was young.

Also, it is terribly rude to tell an experienced er tutor that he is "damaging" kids. If you obsess over your grades, expect anyone to tell you to calm down a little. If anyone is "permentally damaging" kids, it's you. Kids do need to not go overkill about their grades and live life. If it is hard to not be all about grades before someone tells you that you are a grade obsessor, is extremely unlikely that you will just stop caring altogether. In fact, being less obsessed will be hard, and you will need help. So I will assume that who ever said that about Bob is just an mature kid who hasn't learned the manners to not reprimand an adult like that, instead of respectfully debating your point.

All this coming from a 12 year old 6 grade student.

Think about that.

Hey Bob, telling a student that her grades aren't that big of a deal is extremely messed up and damaging. I've noticed there are two types of teachers on here. teachers like Mrs. Sue, actual teachers that do this in their free time, and people like you, that have never taught and think they're good teachers, when in reality, they're ruining kids' lives.

agreed

Thanks I needed this but a while ago lol

Guys Mr. Pursley Is just trying to help! Take a chill Pill, Besides at least he noticed that she was having problems, so he has the courage to help! Be kind about that you guys! (And girls)

I agree. That's a marvelous site.

well, I think that what bob said might be helpful, because some people actually have issues with perfection which hinders their ability to do stuff, so he had good intentions. still it does not apply to everyone, and grades can impact your future.

That could be the case. However, I do not think calling Hayley out on it for everyone to see was a smart move. This should be a 1 on 1 kind of talk.

Yeah you needed it in 2017
