I have done this problem converting numerical expression to word problem .

Like (12x2)+(4x3)
At arcade Jeff got 12 plushy for 2 coins each and 4 hand clapper for 3 coins each.
Question asked how many coins he paid to buy all these toys? Answer is - 36

Now I am stuck with this expression: (5x2)x(3x15)
Ok if I say jeff worked 2 hours for $5 each hour in flower shop and 3 hours for $15 each hour at bakery shop.
I don't know how to come up to multiply these two events each other. If I had to add I would have said how much money he earned? But what for multipication? Please help.

Second problem I know how to solve but I have to convert this expression to word problem.

36+(2x3) word problem

To solve the expression (5x2)x(3x15), imagine you have two separate events happening. First, Jeff worked 2 hours at the flower shop for $5 per hour, and then he worked 3 hours at the bakery shop for $15 per hour. To find out how much money he earned in total, you need to multiply the number of hours and the rate of pay for each job.

Let's break it down step by step:

Step 1: Calculate the amount earned at the flower shop:
Jeff worked for 2 hours at the flower shop, earning $5 per hour. To find out how much money he made at the flower shop, multiply the number of hours (2) by the rate of pay ($5): 2 x $5 = $10.

Step 2: Calculate the amount earned at the bakery shop:
Jeff worked for 3 hours at the bakery shop, earning $15 per hour. To find out how much money he made at the bakery shop, multiply the number of hours (3) by the rate of pay ($15): 3 x $15 = $45.

Step 3: Multiply the total amounts earned from each shop:
Now that we have the amounts from each shop ($10 and $45), to find out the total amount earned, multiply them together: $10 x $45 = $450.

So, Jeff earned a total of $450 in this scenario.

In the context of the original expression, (5x2)x(3x15), the result represents the total amount earned when two separate events involving multiplication are combined.

"and" means +

(5x2)+ (3x15)

What is problem?

( 12 x 2 ) + ( 4 x 3 ) = 24 + 12 = 36

( 5 x 2 ) + ( 3 x 15 ) = 10 + 45 = 55
