The area of the base of the regular quadrilateral pyramid is 36 cm2 and the area of a lateral face is 48 cm2. Find:

Surface area of the pyramid

The lateral area is 192 because 48 times 4 equals 192. The 48 is the area of one lateral side and since it is a regular quadrilateral pyramid you multiply it by four.

The answer is 228. This is because of 48 *4=192. Then 192 + 36= 228. This is the correct answer for the surface area of the pyramid.

The surface area is 228.

The lateral area is 192.

Thanks!

VC,

He was talking about the surface area not the lateral area

Wouldn't you just do this?

(48*4) + 36 = total surface area of base and all four sides?

Give the final result in cm2 terms.

Bruhhhh it is 192cm

Da surface area is 228cm

thank you for your help.
