You meet Tock and Humbug in Act 1 of The Phantom Tollbooth. In Act 2,you see them in action and hear more of what they have to say.How are the two characters alike? How are they different? What do they do to help Milo? IN a paragraph, compare and contrast Tock and Humbug as they are in Act 2.Tell at least two ways in which they are alike and two ways in which they are different

I think there similarity would be they both want to help Milo in anyways that they can. But they both differ in character as well as beliefs in life. Tock is responsible, brave and loyal. He wants Milo to learn that time should not be wasted but rather it should be spent wisely. While Humbug is a complete opposite of Tock. He reminds Milo the things that he should not do.

The difference between Tock and humbug. Tock is brave, loyal, and quite responsible. While Humbug is selfish, talks nonstop and is very cowardly. Tock and Humbug have close to nothing in common other then one thing, that one thing being that they both become Milo's companions in the story and teach Milo valuable lessons about what to do, and what not to do.

At least he isn't saying the real words, Bloo.

Tock is Loyal, Brave and pretty responsible, Humbug is kind of selfish, talks a lot, and is a pretty big wuss. The only things that they have in common are that they will both try to help Milo and give him advice. Tock tried to teach Milo about the Importance of time and not to waste any of it. Humbug Tries to remind Milo of the thing that he should not do and is teaching him to be rational.
