Sorry for posting twice

I have to round 7276.74 by two decimal places but I keep getting it wrong...

Your number has two decimal places.

what number are you supposed to round to two decimal places?

I'm not sure what you are asking me...sorry I suck at math Ms.Sue

Exactly what has the teacher asked you to do?

Oops sorry I added that all up wrong it's 10121.49.. I have to round that by two decimals but I don't think it can be rounded?

Are there any numbers after the 9?

No.

Then it's rounded to two decimal places.

Ohh lol! Thanks Ms.Sue!

You're welcome, Sally.

Here are some examples for next time.

24.578 = 24.58
24.573 = 24.57

No problem! I can help you with that. To round a number to two decimal places, you need to look at the third decimal place (in this case, the 7). If it is 5 or greater, you round up the second decimal place (in this case, the 7). If it is less than 5, you do not change the second decimal place.

Now let's apply this rule to 7276.74. The third decimal place is 7, which is 5 or greater, so we round up the second decimal place. Therefore, the number rounded to two decimal places would be 7276.74 rounded up to 7276.75.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
