Nike is a shoe brand

Also why does MS sue ask the dumbest questions?

Yup the answer is c. many common words, phrases, and analogies are based on Greek mythology.

There really is much to be learned from mythology. The stories themselves may be dismissed as fiction (even if based on real events, they are fictionalized), but there is often a larger truth contained in them. The hero in the mythologies of cultures all over the world is usually someone who leaves the tribe, village, and goes exploring and then returns to teach his family/tribe what he has learned. Joseph Campbell wrote a whole book on the subject: THE HERO WITH A THOUSAND FACES.

Sometimes, too, myths reinforce the idea that bad things often happen to bad people, people who defy the gods (social norms) and give credence to social norms. Fairy tales often teach the same lessons. The boy who cried wolf, for example, or the wolf who ate Red Riding Hood's grandmother and came to a bad end, etc.

I'll give you an example from Native American legend/mythology. There is a story about a young boy whose spirit wafted up through the hole in the top of the tepee with the smoke from the fire. He visited the land of the dead, the ancestors, and returned with wisdom he learned from the ancestors. It reinforces the idea that those who came before us accumulated some wisdom that the living can learn from. One may believe that the human spirit can travel outside the body or not, but the point is still the same.

Thank you reed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
