Algebra

I am getting ready to start an Algebra class for the first time and I was wondering what challenges people have with learning and using algebra concepts. Also what are the best ways to over come math anxiety?

The best way? Learn the language of algebra.

5. Some people are confused about the use of algebra. You need to understand why you are doing something or learning a certain formula or the math will make no sense. Learn the terms used in algerbra, and get to know the basic foundation for all algebra by practicing problems, taking good notes, and studying hard. The challenges people face with algebra depend on the person. You need to find out how you learn and why the type of learner you are may affect the challenges you have to deal with. If algebra becomes difficult or stressful, DO NOT JUST QUIT. Taking the easy way out and giving up makes the entire study very difficult because everything you learn in algebra will build on what you had previously learned. A tutor is a great help with things you don't understand or just regular check-ins and review sessions. Find a good tutor that you can trust and is always avalible.
Hope this helps and good luck!
