Teachers need a better way to give feedback to students. Writing on everyone's paper takes a lot of time, even though it is effective. Students and teachers need a better way.

I am not certain it is effective, at least on the students who need it most. My experience, teacher notes on papers and notebooks of the weakest students are not much noticed and internalized. Grade is noticed, but not comments.

The other issues is Socratic teaching (look that up) cannot be done in modern education, because of the time one-on-one required. If I had three students at a time, I could do it, but 30 students per hour, forget it. Students get lost. Whining about a better way is silly, as legislatsures are not about to get the student-teacher ratio down to where teachers and students can communicate one on one, in thought, and verify learning.
