2x+3y=6 (solve for x)

Get unknown on one side and everything else on the other side. To do this we ned to move 3y. How to do that? Subtract 3y from both sides.
2x+3y-3y = 6-3y
combine terms.
2x = 6-3y
Now divide both sides by 2
2x/2 = (6-3y)/2
