calculate the quatity of concrete ingredints for the following volume. i) for 3mcubi ,grade c-15,c-20,c-25 assume that the mix could be done by hand and machine and the size of the box ?

To calculate the quantity of concrete ingredients for a given volume, we need to know the mix proportions and the size of the box for each grade.

For hand-mixing concrete, the mix proportions commonly used are 1:2:4 (cement:sand:aggregate) or 1:1.5:3. However, for machine-mixing, a leaner mix with lower cement content is usually used.

Assuming a standard size of box with dimensions length (L) = 1 meter, width (W) = 1 meter, and height (H) = 1 meter, we can calculate the quantity of ingredients for each grade of concrete.

For Grade C-15:
Mix Proportions (By Volume) - 1:2:4

Cement:
Cement content = (1/7) x volume of concrete
= (1/7) x 3 m³
= 0.43 m³

Sand:
Sand content = (2/7) x volume of concrete
= (2/7) x 3 m³
= 0.86 m³

Aggregate:
Aggregate content = (4/7) x volume of concrete
= (4/7) x 3 m³
= 1.71 m³

For Grade C-20:
Mix Proportions (By Volume) - 1:1.5:3

Cement:
Cement content = (1/5.5) x volume of concrete
= (1/5.5) x 3 m³
= 0.55 m³

Sand:
Sand content = (1.5/5.5) x volume of concrete
= (1.5/5.5) x 3 m³
= 0.82 m³

Aggregate:
Aggregate content = (3/5.5) x volume of concrete
= (3/5.5) x 3 m³
= 1.64 m³

For Grade C-25:
Mix Proportions (By Volume) - 1:1:2

Cement:
Cement content = (1/4) x volume of concrete
= (1/4) x 3 m³
= 0.75 m³

Sand:
Sand content = (1/4) x volume of concrete
= (1/4) x 3 m³
= 0.75 m³

Aggregate:
Aggregate content = (2/4) x volume of concrete
= (2/4) x 3 m³
= 1.5 m³

Please note that these calculations assume no wastage. It is always good practice to add a margin of 5-10% for wastage and rounding off.
