I need to critique an opinion piece that must be more than six pages long. I'm having lots of trouble finding any such article. Everything I can find on the web is three pages or less. Any ideas?

Searching in Google Scholar -- http://scholar.google.com/schhp?sourceid=navclient&hl=en -- or in a database in your public or college library are the two places I would think you could find such an article. You'd need to ask the reference librarian to help you look up articles with the library's online databases.

Finding a longer opinion piece can sometimes be a challenge, especially if you are specifically looking for articles that are longer than six pages. Here are a few strategies you could try to find more substantial opinion pieces:

1. Academic Journals: Look for scholarly journals or academic databases relevant to the topic of your critique. These platforms often have articles that are more in-depth and can easily exceed six pages. Start by searching databases such as JSTOR, PubMed, or Google Scholar.

2. Newspaper or Magazine Archives: Explore archives of reputable newspapers or magazines like The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The Economist, or Forbes. These publications often feature opinion pieces that tend to be longer and more detailed.

3. Opinion Blogs or Platforms: Some websites and platforms publish longer opinion pieces compared to traditional news outlets. Check out websites like Medium, Quillette, Project Syndicate, or Opinion section of major news websites. They frequently feature longer articles penned by experts or notable commentators.

4. Books or Book Chapters: Consider finding a book or an anthology of essays related to the topic you want to critique. Books often provide extensive analysis and are an excellent source for in-depth opinions. Look for books that cover your subject area, browse the table of contents, and identify relevant chapters to read and critique.

5. Industry or Research Papers: If you are critiquing a specific industry, field, or research study, explore academic databases, research repositories, or official websites related to that topic. Such sources often contain lengthy reports, white papers, or research papers that analyze and discuss various aspects of the subject matter.

Remember that while it may be challenging to find an opinion piece exceeding six pages, by employing these strategies and combining different sources, you should be able to find substantial articles that meet your requirements.
