I need to make an "Apples to Apples" Project and I really don't know what to write.

It's about the Revolutionary war. I have one green card with a title and three red cards and I have to choose three events that are related to it. I also have to explain why I chose them.

This is what I have to write:

Biggest "Turning Point" 1763-1783 - Three choices (I have two, Tea Act/Boston Tea Party and Battle of Saratoga)

The second one is harder because I haven't yet studies this:

Biggest changes from before and after - Three choices (I have 2 but I'm not sure, Continental dollar and Egalitarianism)

Please help me! What else should I write?

What is an Apples to Apples project?

Please wait on the second one until you've studied that part.

It's based on a game.

Example: Green car: car Red cads: tire, window, steering wheel.

And I can't wait for the second part because it's due tomorrow. I'm the only one doing it before because I'm not at school the day we're learning it and playing the game as a class.

I think you'll find help about turning points in the American revolution here. Read lots:

As for the biggest changes brought about: think of no taxes due the British Crown and Parliament, self-government, and trying to figure out how to become a nation of 13 states instead of 13 colonies ruled separately from London.

For your "Biggest Turning Point" category, you have already chosen the Tea Act/Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Saratoga. Now, let me explain how you can find another event that is related to the Revolutionary War and why you should choose it.

To find other potential events for the category of "Biggest Turning Point" during the Revolutionary War (1763-1783), you can consider significant events or milestones that had a profound impact on the outcome of the war or marked a significant shift in the direction of the conflict. Here are a few possibilities:

1. The Declaration of Independence (1776): This document marked the formal separation of the American colonies from British rule and is considered a pivotal turning point in the Revolutionary War. By declaring independence, the American colonies asserted their determination to fight for their freedom.

2. The Battle of Yorktown (1781): This battle was a decisive victory for the American and French forces and ultimately led to the surrender of the British army. It marked the end of major fighting in the Revolutionary War and demonstrated the strength and resilience of the American forces.

Now let's move on to your second category, "Biggest changes from before and after." You have mentioned two options: Continental dollar and Egalitarianism. Here's how you can find another event that fits this category:

To find other events that represent significant changes before and after the Revolutionary War, consider shifts in political, social, economic, or cultural aspects of American society during this period. Some potential choices could be:

1. The Treaty of Paris (1783): This treaty formally ended the Revolutionary War and recognized the United States as an independent nation. It brought significant changes as the American colonies transitioned to a sovereign nation.

2. Abolition of Slavery in Northern States: During and after the Revolutionary War, several Northern states gradually abolished slavery. This marked a significant change in the moral and legal status of enslaved individuals and laid the foundation for future debates and conflicts over slavery.

Remember, when explaining your choices, consider the historical significance and impact of each event. Discuss how these events influenced the course and outcome of the Revolutionary War, and how they represented significant changes or turning points in American history.

I hope this guidance helps you in completing your "Apples to Apples" project on the Revolutionary War!
