What are some tricks of multiplication
My suggestion is to just learn the proper way to multiply.
For relatively small numbers I might use the distributive property mentally.
e.g. 14 x 6 ----> 10x6 + 4x6 = 60+24 = 84
or in cases like
18 x 6 , you could do 20x6 - 2x6 , .... (18 = 20-2)
= 120 - 12
= 108
For larger factors it is often not worth the effort, and now that people have access to calculators on their smart phones, just use that technology.
