  3. volume of wooden rod = π(2^2)(6) = 24π
    volume which is submerged = 12π
    So the volume in the cylinder will change by that amount
    π(4^2)h = 12π
    16h = 12
    h = 12/16 cm = 3/4 cm

    new depth = 4+3/4 cm = 19/4 cm or 4.75 cm
