the length of a rectangle is 7/8 yards and its width is 32/49 yards what is its area in square yards?

7/8 times 32/49 = 224/392

now simplify (the lowest common denominator is 56) so
224/392 = 4/7

So there is 4/7 of a square yard in the rectangle
