Please help with Algebra 2 Ms. Sue

A triangle has vertices at A(3,4),B(-3,2),C(-1,-4). Is the triangle a right triangle? Explain.

How do I find the answer? I am not sure what equation to use.

  1. I think I am supposed to find the slopes of all three lines first, but I am still not completely sure.

    slope AB = -2/-6 = 1/3
    slope AC = -8/-4 = 2
    slope BC = -6/2 = - 3
    oh!
    AB is perpendicular to BC !
