A triangle has vertices at A(3,4),B(-3,2),C(-1,-4). Is the triangle a right triangle? Explain.

How do I find the answer? I am not sure what equation to use.

What's the answer

I think I am supposed to find the slopes of all three lines first, but I am still not completely sure.

sure, why not

slope AB = -2/-6 = 1/3
slope AC = -8/-4 = 2
slope BC = -6/2 = - 3
oh!
AB is perpendicular to BC !
slope AB = -1/slope BC

So is it a right triangle Damon?

I am super confused.

I think Damon stepped away from the computer for a bit and I still am confused.

If two sides are perpendicular, it is a right triangle. This is a right triangle.
