Is there anyone out there who understands Q5 of tma06 for s103?

I don't understand a word of it

hi
i think that the functional group are

NH2 and the c=0 does anybody come up with that they to me are all amine

part iii i get O and N as the body, would you agree

R-NH2 is amine.
R-C=O

is an amide.

could you please tell me what you mean with
nbsp NH2

as im confused
many thanks

ignore nbsp. I was trying that for spacing and didn't do it right.

I apologize for the confusion. "nbsp" stands for non-breaking space, which is a formatting element used to create spacing. In my previous response, it was an error, and it has no relevance to the topic being discussed. Please ignore it.

Now, regarding the "NH2" notation, it represents an amino group, which consists of a nitrogen atom (N) bonded to two hydrogen atoms (H). In organic chemistry, NH2 is used to denote an amine. Amines are organic compounds that contain a nitrogen atom with a lone pair of electrons, usually attached to one or more alkyl groups or aryl groups.

In the context of functional groups, NH2 is indeed a functional group called an amine. It typically acts as a base and can form hydrogen bonds. It is important to note that when NH2 is attached to a carbon atom, forming a C-N bond, it is called an amide, which has slightly different properties compared to a simple amine.
