How do you set up a running header in Microsoft Word? This is not an assignment, I need it myself

When you have a file open in Word, click on View | Header and Footer

You can make a header with all the formatting (center, left, right, change font, whatever). You can also make a footer by clicking on the third icon from the right (not counting the word Close). It'll take you to the bottom of the page where you can use the same formatting tools, insert page numbers, etc.

Thank you very much

You're welcome.

To set up a running header in Microsoft Word, follow these steps:

1. Open your Microsoft Word document.
2. Navigate to the "Insert" tab in the top menu.
3. Click on the "Header" dropdown menu.
4. From the dropdown menu, select either "Blank" or one of the pre-designed header styles.
5. A header section will automatically appear at the top of your document, and the "Header & Footer Tools" tab will open.
6. In the "Header & Footer Tools" tab, you can customize the appearance of your header. You can add text, insert page numbers, insert images, or adjust the formatting to suit your needs.
7. After customizing the header, you can navigate back to the main body of your document by double-clicking below the header section or by clicking the "Close Header and Footer" button in the "Design" tab that appears when you are working in the header.

Following these steps will allow you to set up a running header in Microsoft Word.
