I have a 60 in English and I need to take 2 tests. (they count as 45% of our grade) I really want to get at least an 82, does anybody know what grades I have to make in order to bring it up? I would really appreciate for a fast reply. Thanks!

To determine the grades you need to achieve on your two tests in order to raise your average English grade from a 60 to an 82, you'll need to consider the weightage of each test.

Given that the two tests carry a weightage of 45% of your overall grade, you can first calculate the weightage of your current average grade by multiplying it by the remaining 55% (1 - 0.45). This will give you the contribution of your current average grade to your overall grade.

(60 * 0.55) = 33

Next, subtract this contribution from the target grade of 82 to determine the total score you need to achieve in the two tests.

(82 - 33) = 49

Since you have two tests, you can divide this total score needed by 2 to determine the minimum average score you should aim for in each test.

49 / 2 = 24.5

So, you will need to get at least a 24.5 (round it up to the nearest whole number, which is 25) on each of the two tests to raise your English grade from 60 to 82.

However, it's important to note that this calculation assumes that all other grades and assignments are already finalized and that the weightage of the tests is the only factor affecting your grade. You should also consider completing any additional assignments or studying extra to give yourself the best chance of achieving the desired grades.
