Hello, could someone please go over the steps for this question? Thank you!

1. Find the circumference. Leave your answer in terms of pi.
The middle line going through the circle is 8.4
(I'm so sorry I don't know the name of the line, brain fart).

A) 12.6 pi cm
B) 4.2 pi cm
C) 16.8 pi cm
D) 8.4 pi cm

So I know that Ms. Sue was going over this with me (thank you so much by the way)! But i'm still quite confused on how to do this problem.

C = pi * diameter

C = 8.4 pi

To find the circumference of a circle, you can use the formula:

Circumference = 2 * π * radius

In this case, we are given the "middle line" of the circle, which is most likely referring to the diameter. The diameter is a line that goes through the center of the circle and is twice the length of the radius. So, if the middle line is 8.4, the radius would be half of that, which is 4.2.

Now that we have the radius, we can substitute it into the formula to find the circumference:

Circumference = 2 * π * 4.2

Simplifying this, we get:

Circumference = 8.4π

Thus, the circumference is 8.4π cm.
