The area of a rectangular prism is 93.5 inches

The height of the prism is 8 inches and the width is 2.5 inches I need help in finding the length of the rectangular prism

Are asking about the surface area (the areas of all six sides) of a rectangular prism?

http://www.mathsisfun.com/definitions/rectangular-prism.html

Yes the surface area is 93.5 inches from what I iunderstand

as the dimentions of the paper 8.5 inches by 11 inches

SA = 2LW + 2LH + 2WH

93.5 = 2(2.5L) + 2(8L) + 2(2.5 * 8)

93.5 = 5L + 16L + 40

93.5 - 40 = 5L + 16L

53.5 = 21L

2.55 = L

I need to find the volume so I need help in finding the length

So to find the volume it would be L*W*H

H=8in x w=2.5 x L=2.5 =50 cubic inches

Yes! :-) 50 cubic inches

Thank You so much!

You are very welcome.

So ms sue I have one more problem but I think I figured this on out, I just want to verify it is right!

The formula used to calculate the volume =l*w*h same surface area 93.5 but the dimentions of the prism
H= 10 inches from measuring the perimeter of the base is 2 inches so by dividing 2 by 4 inches we get .5 or ½
1x1x10=10
2x2x1=4 =2.5
10 divided 2.5=4 which would give me the length

so 10=h*w=2*4l= 80 cubic inches

I'm not sure.
