I understand how to do the first week for the job-search day-by-day planning. What I do not understand is what exactly to do for the next 2 weeks and how I would word it correctly.

What guidelines do you have for the second and third weeks of a job search?

I did week one. I am almost finished with week two also, but I feel like week two is kinda a repeat of week one. Week three I have nothing. What do you mean what guidelines do I have?

Isn't a job search pretty much repetition?

Research available jobs. Send applications. Possibly send follow-up letters or phone calls.

Planning the next two weeks of your job search can be an important step in staying organized and productive. Here are some tips on what to do and how to word your goals effectively:

1. Research and Target Companies: Use the next two weeks to research companies or organizations you're interested in. Look for job openings, learn about their culture, values, and reputation. Identify specific target companies that align with your career goals.

Example wording: "Research and target at least 10 companies in my industry, focusing on job openings, company culture, and reputation."

2. Customize Your Resume and Cover Letter: Tailor your resume and cover letter to match the requirements of the positions you're interested in. Highlight relevant skills, experiences, and achievements that align with the job descriptions.

Example wording: "Customize my resume and cover letter for at least five job applications, showcasing my relevant skills and experiences."

3. Networking and Informational Interviews: Reach out to professionals in your field and schedule informational interviews to gain insight into specific industries or companies. Building a network can provide valuable connections and job opportunities.

Example wording: "Initiate and complete at least three informational interviews with professionals in my target industries to expand my network and gain industry insights."

4. Job Application Strategy: Develop a strategic approach to job applications. Set specific targets for the number of applications you want to submit and allocate time to craft compelling applications.

Example wording: "Submit a minimum of 10 job applications, focusing on positions that align with my skills and career goals."

5. Boost Online Presence: Enhance your online presence by updating your LinkedIn profile, building a professional brand, and engaging with relevant industry groups or forums.

Example wording: "Optimize my LinkedIn profile, connect with at least five new professionals in my industry, and engage in group discussions to increase my online visibility."

6. Skill Development: Identify skills or knowledge gaps that may hinder your job search and dedicate time to acquiring or improving those skills.

Example wording: "Invest at least 10 hours over the next two weeks in developing my proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript)."

Remember, these examples are just suggestions. Tailor your goals to your specific circumstances and ensure they are realistic and achievable within the two-week timeframe. Track your progress and adjust your strategy as needed throughout the process. Good luck with your job search!
