The problem is 4x(Squared) + 15(x) / 4 = 1

How do I turn it into a equation where I can factor?

Can someone help? I know I have to do something like multiply both sides by 4, but I forgot.

  1. If (4x^2 + 15x)/4 = 1, then
    4x^2 + 15x - 4 = 0
    (4x-1)(x+4) = 0

Hi, I'm trying to understand what a quadratic equation is. I understand that in a quadratic equation you have to have a variable in the second power. Why, then, aren't y = x^2 + 2x^3 and Y = 2x^2 + 3 times the square root of x
