What is the greatest number of times you would regruop when multiplying a 3 digit number by a 2 digit number?

Is it four, I am not sure.

I taught math for over 35 years and I don't have a clue what you mean by

"regroup when multiplying a 3 digit number by a 2 digit number"

What new-fangled way are they using now, and where is that being taught?

Everyday Mathmatics.

"Regroup" is one of the new terms in math these days!! It is the same as carrying in addition and borrowing in subtraction.

Drives me nuts, these various versions of "new math."

Thank you very much.

I watched the whole You Tube clip. Good grief!

Good grief is right! If these idiocies are being taught in very many of our schools, no wonder we aren't getting mathematically literate graduates.
