I am almost finished with my books vs movies essay and I am team books all the way, however I am not sure how to conclude my essay. Any help is very appreciated!

Heres my essay:

Never Judge a Book by its Movie

For all of cinematic history book lovers have been frequently disappointed by the recreations of their favorite books. So which really is better, books or movies?
When a book is recreated as a movie it is inevitable that stuff will be changed, taken out, or something new will be added to the story. The case for movies: One common argument associated with the case for movies is that movies are much less time consuming. The average movie is two to three hours long whereas the average book, depending on the reader, can take 15 to 30 hours. Another argument for movies is that without all of the complicated words and detailed plot points from the books movies are often much easier to comprehend. Lastly many people think that movies are much easier to revisit than books, most people can watch their favorite movie over and over again but only be able to read a book once.
Recently on a debate site there was a debate, are movies better than books, in which 58% of people said that movies are not better than books and only 48% thought that they were. One of the reasons why books are better than movies is because there is more development. Most books take at least 12 hours longer to read than it takes to watch a movie, which is 12 more hours learning about the plot, characters, and setting of the story. Secondly books are better because books stay with you, once you read a book it’s with you forever in your heart and/or mind. You never forget a good book. Recently my Grandmother came to stay with me, she’s 84 and she has read hundreds of books in her lifetime, and we started talking about this book she read when she was eleven years old and she went on about the book and told me that every book that she’s read over her lifetime has always been with her. The last reason I think books are better than movies is that books allow the reader to really think about the plot and put together what they think may happen.

A conclusion should summarize the points made earlier, in a very few sentences. You already have given reasons why you think books are better. Those conclusions belong in your conclusion of the essay, not in the body of the essay.

The sentence beginning, "Secondly..." should be a new paragraph, and you might say, not that books are better, but that some people think books are better because... Save your opinions and conclusions for your concluding paragraph in which you summarize the arguments and state YOUR conclusion/opinion.

Thank you so much for your help.

You're welcome. I do hope it helps.

To conclude your essay on books versus movies, you can summarize your main points and provide a final argument for why books are superior. Here's a suggestion for your conclusion:

In conclusion, while movies may offer a shorter and more visually accessible form of storytelling, books continue to hold a distinct advantage. By delving deeper into character development, providing a longer and more immersive experience, and fostering reader engagement and imagination, books offer a level of richness and longevity that films simply cannot replicate.

Beyond the superficial allure of a cinematic adaptation, books stay with us, becoming a part of our memories and shaping our thinking. They allow us to engage with the story in a way that movies cannot, inviting us to actively participate in piecing together the plot and envisioning the possibilities. As my grandmother's experience demonstrates, the impact of a good book stays with us for a lifetime.

So, let's not judge a book solely by its movie adaptation. Instead, embrace the unique power of books to inspire, engage, and captivate us, making the case that sometimes, the imaginative journey through a book's pages is truly the greatest reward.

Remember to revise and edit the conclusion to fit the tone and style of your essay.
