The volume of water in a resevoir decreases 21,000 cubic yards over a 3-month period. What is the average change in volume per month?

You would have to divide 21,000 and 3 to get the answer. 21,000 divided by 3 = 7,000. So, the average change in volume per month is 7,000.

no

It would be -7,000 because the water DECREASES every month.
hope this helps.

Steve..............I did not understand that............T_T

I agree with "CA". You would have to divide 21,000 by 3 to get 7,000, but that's only partly the answer. Because the water level is decreasing, you would have to turn 7,000 negative. So the answer would be -7,000 cubic yards per month.

i don't understand either.........

vixen is correct.

it is -7000 you have to do this 21,000 divided by 3 = 7000 then you make it a negative

Me waiting for the answers...

-7000 is the answer because 21000 divided by 3 is 7000 but the water level is decreasing is its -7000

hope this helps
