Solve for X

(1/2)^2-x=(32)^x+1

I'm very confused on how to begin this problem.

1/2 = 2^-1

32 = 2^5, so

(2^-1)^(2-x) = (2^5)^(x+1)
2^(-1(2-x)) = 2^(5(x+1))
-2+x = 5x+5
4x = -7
x = -7/4
