I don't understand Positive and Negative Square Roots? How do you find them?

Don't worry about finding negative square roots. Every square root has a corresponding negative root.

That is because if the positive root is n, Then n^2 is its square.

(-n)(-n) = n^2 also gives the same value when squared.

So if you find that 4^2= 16, (-4)^2 is also 16.

But, by definition, √16 = 4. Not ±4 -- just 4.

As for finding the roots in general, use your calculator, or an online calculator, or do it manually. Google that and you will find many examples explaining the method for extracting root by hand.
