The mass density at a given point of a thin wire is C is delta(x,y,z)=x. If C is parametrized by r(t)=<e^t,2t,2e^-t>, 0<=t<=1, find the mass of the wire.

I think the integral is from 0 to 1 of e^t*sqrt(e^(2t)+4+4e^(-2t)), but I don't know how to solve it.

1st note that

e^(2t)+4+4e^(-2t) = (e^t + 2e^-t)^2
