What causes depression?

A. Environmental issues

B. There is no known cause

C. Biochemical issues

D. Genetic issues

ithink it D?!!

I know nothing about Health, but I know that Depression can be caused by a multitude of factors, such as the environment, mourning, and genetic issues, but there is no known cause, as it varies from person to person.

I think Josh is right. Medication usually helps, which indicates a biochemical cause, but the meds may treat the symptom, not the disease. There seems to be no single cause as it may vary from person to person. I would not, however, say that mourning causes depression. It is sadness, but sadness is not depression.

Well, at least I got something that I didn't know right!

I mean, I do D.T and Business Studies as GCSE's and the last thing that I did about health was in Year 9.

D. Genetic issues

No, not D.

it's B all the way!

Yes, you are correct. Genetic issues can be one of the causes of depression. However, it's important to note that depression is a complex condition and often has multiple causes. Genetic factors can play a role, as some individuals may be more genetically predisposed to developing depression.
