the digit at the ten's place of a two digit number is four times that in the unit's place. if the digits are reversed, the new number will be 54 less than the original number. find the original number. check your solution.
unit digit --- x
ten's digit ---- 4x
clearly obvious that x can only be 1 or 2
So the number could be only 41 or 82
and the number with the digits reversed of those is 14 and 28
which has a difference of 54 ?
