Serena has 7/8 yd of fabric. To complete her craft project, she needs 3 times that amount. How many yards of fabric does Serena need?

A. 2 5/8 ***
B. 2 3/7
C. 3 3/7
D. 3 7/8

PLEASE HELP, THANK YOU :)

Wow, who pissed you off @Anna

the second one is correct. A. 2 5/8.

the first however asks for the profit, what does James make in total after selling them.

He net purchase is $3.25.
He then sells them for 2.25 each, 2.25 * 5 = and makes 11.25.
His total money made since he spent 3.25, would be 11.25 - 3.25 which is 8.00 dollars. B.

Did you even attempt to do the first one? The first one is eight. First, you multiply $0.65 by 5. Then you multiply $2.25 by 5. You subtract the multiple of $2.25, which is 11.25, by the multiple of $3.25, and you'll get eight. Please try next time instead of guessing.
