Michael Ondaantje, author of The English Patient, and author Ernest Hemmingway who wrote A Farewell to Arms take the readers to a whole new journey set in the tragic time of war filled with stories of love and pain and loyalty and how each feeling plays an important role in the characters’ lives. The English Patient is the story of four mentally and physically, injured characters living in an Italian monastery as World War II was coming to an end. One by one, Ondaatje reveals their story of the past and how they came to be. A Farewell to Arms is a heartbreaking love story between a driver and a nurse who fall in love, and how they deal with being separated during war. Odaantje and Hemmingway each use their different styles of writing to capture the readers and to take them back to life of the 19th century. Both use different types of themes, symbols and views on how their novels reflect on their own personal lives.

i didn't know what you meant by {sic} so i changed the whole sentence. I had to write italian monastery because that's what they call it in the book to unless there's another phrase for that. I still think my last two sentences are weak. i also have 'character' in the paragraph so how do i change that.

and i know the books have to be underlined but i don't know how to do that on this site.

I still think my last two sentences are weak. i also have 'character' in the paragraph so how do i change that. Having a couple of isolated words still there is not a huge offense. Sometimes you just can't help it. Also, I used the term [sic] after the word "of" because the word should have been "off," and I was simply recognizing the error.

and i know the books have to be underlined but i don't know how to do that on this site. As long as you'll underline them in the paper you hand in, that's fine.

Someone else may have additional comments to make. It's MUCH improved from what you first wrote. Congrats!

=)

Also ... in this part of the first sentence --

and author Ernest Hemmingway who wrote A Farewell to Arms take the readers

-- you need to put a comma after the author's name and another comma after "Arms" -- for the same reason you put commas before and after "author of The English Patient."
