How can I introduce 2 of these quotes with a SUBJECT VERB construction & a COMMA???

QUOTE 1) CITATION> (Thoreau 8).

All men recognize the right of revolution; that is, the right to refuse allegiance to, and to resist, the government, when its tyranny or its inefficiency are great and unendurable.

QUOTE 2) CITATION> (Thoreau 8)
But almost all say that such is not the casw now.

Henry David Thoreau explained the value of revolution by writing, " . . .

Henry David Thoreau explained the value of revolution by writing, “ men possess personal rights to reject allegiance to the government” (Thoreau 8.)

Is this ok?

Nevermind I meant

Henry David Thoreau explained the value of revolution by writing, “ men possess personal rights to reject allegiance to the government, however, the majority of the people feel as if their authority is imaginable” (Thoreau 8).

Right!

How can I introduce 2 of these quotes with a Full Sentence & a Colon?

Quote 1: “A minority is powerless while it conforms to the majority, it is not even a minority then; but it is irresistible when it clogs by its whole weight” (Thoreau 22).

Quote 2: “If the alternative is to keep all just men in prison, or give up war and slavery, the State will not hesitate which to choose” (Thoreau 22).

When you name the author in the sentence before the quotation, all you need in parentheses is the page number. No need to repeat the author's name.

Ok thankyou. How about the 2nd part that I recently posted?

What full sentence would you use to introduce quotation #1?

The minority of people live as impotent and comply with the majority; the hesitation no longer exists by the State if the majority of just men breathe prison air.

Would this be ok?

You have paraphrased the quotation. Is that the instruction?
