Now that you have a vague idea what his objectives were, did he accomplish them? Did he explore? Did he conquer anyone?

He did explore a great deal of what is now the southeastern portion of the United States. He did not "conquer" much of anybody. So the statement is partially true, partially false. I think it's a poor question, but I agree with your answer as the best choice given the question.
