when heated, sulfuric acid will decompose into sulfur trioxide and water. Write a chemical equation, using words, to represent this chemical reaction. Identify reactants and products.
(I'm having trouble identifying the reactants and products & writing the chemical equation in words. Also isn't the product ALWAYS on the right hand side with an arror point to the right.)
I'm not sure why you're having trouble. The question WRITES the word equation for you.
sulfuric acid + heat gives sulfur trioxide and water.
reactants on left; products on right.
H2SO4 + heat ==> SO3 + H2O.
I cant writ eh heat sign over the arrow but that's the way it is usually done and often heat is designated with a capital Greek letter delta.posted by DrBob222
