A backpacker in the sierras hikes 5.5 miles in 2 hrs. If the hiking rate remains the same how far will the backpacker hike in 7 hrs?
60 miles = 60 minutes 1 hr
120 miles = 2hr
180 =3 hr
5.5/2 = x/7
2x = 38.5
x = 19.25
