Government and Politics Political Systems Types of democracy
I need a definition for "Direct Democracy"
Direct democracy is when people govern themselves (making decisions through debate, persuasion, voting on a proposal or issue of their choice) rather than through a representative or by merely voting on a ballot measure. An example would be the traditional New England townhall meeting.
