What is a spelling triangle?

  1. He just had to write each of the ten words in it's own triangle, so his page looked like this:

    c
    ca
    cap

    n
    na
    nap

    s
    sn
    sna
    snap

    and so on. I think they do it to help kids really break apart the word and recognise (and remember) each letter. My son is an above grade level speller, so this is incredibly easy (but fun ) for him. I imagine it could be helpful with larger words
