a great white loses teeth and grows new teeth if a shark lost 240 of its 3,000 teeth in one year what percent of teeth did it lose?

  1. In order to figure out percentage you should know which numbers are dividing by each number. Based on the question, 240/3000 = 0.08 However, when you want to get a "percentage" you should multiply by 100 which becomes 8%. Therefore 8% of teeth was lost.
