6X+5Y=7X+3Y=2(X+6Y-1) solve by algebra method

Separate them as such:

6x + 5y = 7x + 3y
and
7x + 3y = 2(x + 6y - 1)

Simplify both equation:
Eqn(1):
6x + 5y = 7x + 3y
6x - 7x = 3y - 5y
-x = -2y
x = 2y

Eqn(2):
7x + 3y = 2(x + 6y - 1)
7x + 3y = 2x + 12y - 2
7x - 2x = 12y - 3y - 2
5x = 9y - 2

We can multiply Eqn(1) by -5 so that when added to Eqn(2) will cancel the term with x:
-5(x = 2y)
-5x = -10y

Add them:
5x = 9y - 2
-5x = -10y
---------------
0 = -y - 2
y = -2

now that you have a value for y, substitute this to either Eqn(1) or Eqn(2) to get x.
